Autumn is almost upon us, and while we at The Park Savoy have been loving these beautiful summer days, we can’t deny we’re looking forward to cool breezes and pumpkin-flavored everything. But if there was anything we loved about the fall, it would be the colors. One of the biggest perks about being a top New Jersey wedding venue, is bearing witness to of the beautiful colors the trees shift into. And even better, is the palates of dresses and flowers that complement the season’s environs.
• Cranberry
Perhaps the quintessential wedding color for fall. Cranberry works both as a main pastel or as a trim –primary because it complements with white so well.
• Silver-Grey
At first, it’s easy to dismiss grey. It’s the color of cloudy skies after all. But not only is this a great dress color that goes with most skin tones, it actually creates a contrast that makes the wearer more notable in colorful surroundings. And if you’re worried that grey is too dark, look for dresses that are light grey. In most lighting they give off slight, almost ethereal shades of silver around the curves and creases.
• Burgundy
Like cranberry, burgundy in another red that is just dark enough to play off of the orange and brighter shade of red leaves. It’s an Autumn favorite because it works with just about all levels of lighting, so even in it’s not a wedding day with clear blue skies, you and the bridesmaids will still look stunning.
• Emerald
Just as summer is the time for forestry and lime green, Autumn and winter allow the darker, classy emerald to get it’s due. This works not only has a primary dress color, but where it really stands out is as a trimming. Consider adding emerald sashes to the dresses and bridal bouquets –especially if you decide to be a rebel and go with lighter dress colors.
